As I write this it is nearly two years after Katrina; the other day I passed the house I used in an American Landscape (picture below) last January.  I snapped the shot on the roll as I did originally. . . The FEMA trailer is gone, the siding finished and it appears a new roof installed.  Looks like there's a replacement for the tattered Old Glory. I'm not too sure why they hung it on the staff that way.   One thing you often hear is that New Orleans is sinking; subsidence, they call it.  Here is pretty clear evidence.  The house slab was poured on pilings, and you can see them under the slab in this shot.  Since this house was built, probably in the 1960's the ground has fallen close to two feet, I'd guess
